All of us have seen the NEWS reports: “... is Israel on the brink of nuclear war with its neighbors?”.... “... How can a small nation like Israel survive the onslaught of the united efforts of all the nations and terrorist organizations rallied against it?” Those were the questions proposed by a famous news reporter, on July 12 and 13, 2006. It is obvious that the reporter never read (and / or doesn’t believe) his Bible. God’s Word tells us that these things are going to happen, and it tells us the outcome of these troubled times:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem”. – Zechariah 12:2 -9 KJV
“And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth”. – Zechariah 14:12 KJV

To someone who has studied the Bible for many years, these verses come as no surprise. For someone who has faith that the Bible is the literal Word of God, it is an affirmation of faith that God is doing what He said He would do – this also comes as no surprise. There is no doubt that we are living in troubled times. True Christians know that they cannot know the precise moment of the Second Coming of their Lord, since the Bible tells them that He will come “as a thief in the night”.[1] The Bible also challenges the reader with an admonishment against what some would call “blind faith”:

“These[2] were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so”. – Acts 17:11 KJV

“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it”. – Isaiah 46:9-11 KJV

The Bible tells us:

“…. the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”. – 1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

How much more “evidence” does the average “natural” man need? We see the Bible unfolding right before our eyes! We see the Word becoming true, when scoffers all around us are denying that it has anything to do with the Bible. God’s word also “predicted” this would happen:

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men”. – 2 Peter 3:3-7 KJV

Notice that the Bible also mentions that people willingly are ignorant of the events of their times – what the Hick-Farmer Sigmund Freud Wannabes would call “denial” – that magic buzzword that they use to affirm fantasy in the face of fact; to assert that they are right, and you are lying to yourself. Well, God’s Word is about to make itself painfully clear. There are those who have told me, and some who have e-mailed me and said “I don’t believe in heaven or hell”. I’ve got news for you – you can go to hell without believing it. It is God’s way of proving to you that you were wrong.

God’s Word has told believers “the end from the beginning” and telling us “from ancient times” the things that are “not yet done”. Does the scoffer need more “proof”?

“Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. For then will I turn to the people a pure language that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent”. – Zephaniah 3:8,9 KJV

In the context of the rest of the chapter, the above verse predicts the 1948 re-assembling of the Israeli Diaspora, and the return of Hebrew as a spoken language. This is fantastic, since never before in the annals of human history has this happened. The Hebrew language was DEAD, and the nation of Israel did not exist for almost 2,000 years. The Old Testament in the Book of Ezekiel also mentions the demise of Gog (Russia), and the avoidance of dead bodies by “passengers” who set up markers by the contaminated remains for the men of continual employment whose job it is to bury the dead. This is recorded in the following verses:

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog”. – Ezekiel 39:11 – 15 KJV

The Bible also predicted the September 11th Terrorist attcks – both in the “clear text” of the translations, and in the “Bible Codes” which are encoded into the original Hebrew (Masoretic) texts.[3] The verse of which I speak is in the Book of Isaiah:

“And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall”. – Isaiah 30:25 KJV

This verse is structured: metaphor / metaphor – literal / literal: high mountain, high hill / rivers and streams are the metaphors referring to principalities, governments, wealth and affluence, respectively. The day of the great slaughter and towers fall are literals; they mean what they say – literally. This is the only place in the Bible where the names of the “tower” or “towers” are not specified. It is the only place in the Bible where there are many deaths associated with the fall of a tower – and if you notice – there are towerS – plural.

As for me, I am consoled by the fact that Israel is now fighting back. This news story is too volatile to update on a regular basis via this Web site – but “up-to-the-minute” updates are unnecessary when one has faith in God, who “declare(es) the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done”. I believe Israel will prevail. I believe that God’s Word never fails. True Christians pray for peace – but God’s will is going to be done.

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it”. – Matthew 10:32 – 39 KJV

There is indeed “a sword” in the Holy land. The “peace on earth” is not the peace that Man brings about by the United Nations, by détente, or by hollow treaties and grudging agreements. Peace will come only after a great time of trouble, and by the grace of God – ONLY by the intervention of God himself – will mankind be spared TOTAL annihilation. Is what I am saying here true? You decide – but the following is the Word of God:

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened”. – Matthew 24:21 – 22 KJV

And so, although the sight of innocent people dead on the streets in the Middle East troubles me greatly, I take consolation in the fact that they are being taken care of by God – either rejoicing with the angels in heaven, or gnashing their teeth on the sides of the pit with Satan in hell; it is not for me to say or to judge. I am just thankful that I know what side I am on; that I am saved by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus Christ. This may sound selfish, but the extent of this Web site devoted to the ministry of His Word speaks otherwise.

I am concerned for my fellow brothers and sisters; I DO care about them, and so I preach through this medium (the Internet). Is not a single soul saved from the pit of hell worth the thousands of hours devoted to this ministry worth the effort? I believe it is. The question is – Does that soul belong to you? The question is – What are you going to do when nuclear missiles fall out of the sky? The question is – are you prepared to die and be judged this instant? Who knows if a terrorist will set off a “suitcase nuke” in your city in the next few minutes? Is it such a remote possibility that you are willing to ignore it?

It is time to stop assessing the risk by statistical probabilities. If they blow up New York, I hope the bomb hits me right on top of the head – instant vaporization – no pain, no struggle to survive. I don’t hope it happens – I hope that IF it happens, that I am instantly in the presence of God. I don’t want to die, but I do NOT fear death; I just want to be doing what the Lord said I should do:

“What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”. – Matthew 10:27 – 28 KJV

I speak (and write) these words “in light”; consider me – and others like me, “the watchman”:

“Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand”. Ezekiel 33: 2 – 6 KJV

The evangelists who speak the Word of truth from the pages of the Bible are “the watchmen”. It is by no means an easy thing to do – we are ridiculed, scoffed at, and called every derogatory name in the book. However, we see with “spiritual discernment” what others in their worldly blindness are oblivious to. Their excuse is that they “willingly are ignorant” – but there is no excuse for the watchmen. If I don’t want your blood on my hands; I must warn you. If I warn you and you blow off the warning as the rantings of “some kook on the Internet” – then I will have done my part, and you will die in your sins with no advocate in the final judgment.

Because victory for Israel is the will of God according to His Word, as a Christian, I must pray for peace in Israel – and that that peace be attained according to the scriptures. Admittedly, it is not a pleasant prospect to know that we are witnessing Ezekiel 38 and 39 being played out right before our eyes. It is, however, comforting to know that God’s word is being fulfilled – as promised.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. – Isaiah 55:11 KJV

God’s word tells us what will happen in Israel. The world is concerned – as well it should be – but God said, “I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling”… Is it NOT as God said it would be? If it ISN’T, then I have wasted my time here; if it IS, then:

“… yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged”. – Romans 3:4b KJV

Yes, there is trouble in Israel – let us pray for peace; the peace that passes all understanding - and that His will be done.
